Fourth, Satan attacks God’s people by hindering their service to Him. He opposes every faithful life and every effective ministry. He opposed Paul’s work in Ephesus through “many adversaries” (1 Cor. 16:9) and even gave the apostle “a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet [him]” (2 Cor. 12:7), and hindered his plans for Thessalonica
